This year we're starting a new chapter full of excitement, changes and lots of laughs. If you knew us as Chistazo Comedy, we've got big news! We're now La Estoa Comedia: a space dedicated to stand-up in Málaga, where humour and community take centre stage.

Why the name change to La Estoa Comedia?

The word estoa comes from ancient Greece. Stoas were covered porticoes where philosophers met to talk, debate and reflect on life. They were open, accessible places full of ideas.

At La Estoa Comedia we want to keep that spirit, but instead of philosophical debates, we'll have laughs and stand-up in Málaga. The comedy open mics are, for us, the new stoas: a space where anyone can express themselves, share their view of the world and make the audience laugh.

Our mission: open comedy for everyone

The stand-up is much more than getting on stage and telling jokes: it's about connecting with people. At La Estoa Comedia we want to create a meeting point for comedians and lovers of laughter. If you're one of those people who always has something funny to say, our open mics are for you!

And if you like comedy in Málaga, here you'll find both local talent and guest performers who are setting trends on the national scene.

Special event: Adri Romeo in Málaga

This 30 November, Adri Romeo comes to La Estoa Comedia, Sala Marte, for an unmissable night of comedy. Considered one of the most interesting comedians on the scene today, Adri brings a unique style: observational, fresh and full of irony.

Spreading comedy in Málaga: La Llave in El Palo

As well as our home at Sala Marte, we're working to take comedy to other corners of Málaga. Very soon we'll be launching an open mic at the La Llave Cultural Centre in El Palo. We want stand-up to reach every neighbourhood and more and more people to enjoy the magic of live comedy.
